Iona
Pilgrimage - April/May 2010
We
have had one couple withdraw from our pilgrimage. That means we have
two spaces available. If you are interested in going on this wonderful
pilgrimage speak to Willis soon.
The dates for the Iona "pilgrimage" have been changed. We actually had
more people wanting to go than the hotel had available rooms. We are
booked for Friday 30 April 2010 to Monday
3 May 2010.
We will begin with dinner in the St. Columba Hotel. We will design the
weekend around the theme "Getting to know our Celtic Heritage". A
walking tour of the island, worship in the Abbey, sail to Staffa,
plenty of free time, 2 light lectures about our Celtic cousins (by
Willis, but optional for pilgrims), delicious food, good fresh, wind
blown air and the friendly camaraderie with friends and neighbours.
If you would like to book space on the Spring pilgrimage, speak to
Willis and you will be provided a sheet with details. It should be a
great experience - come join us!

The Lenten
Programme
During the Lenten season leading up to Easter, we will be looking at
the Jesus story through the eyes of St Luke. Luke was the most
compassionate and sympathetic of the Gospel writers. He, like us, was
also a Gentile and in many ways stands where we stand as he looked at
the meaning of the cross and empty tomb.

The "Celestial Choir" rehearses at 10.30am on Saturday mornings and we
really need a few more choristers! Please do consider joining us. A
